How do you disable triggers and variables for forced navigation?

Apr 04, 2016

Hello,

I set up triggers and variables for forced navigation, using the first method recommended on Articulate's site -- Step 1: Set a FALSE variable for "SlideComplete" for each slide and 2) Set a trigger to change the FALSE to TRUE when the timeline ends; and 3) Add a condition to the NEXT slide trigger, so it only works if the variable is True.

But now I want to disable the forced navigation so that I can click through a project quickly and show it to potential employers. However, even after deleting all the variables, as well as the triggers on each slide (so that I only have plain vanilla previous and next triggers on each slide with no conditions), I still cannot go to the next slide until the timeline is done playing. Is this a glitch in Articulate where some old code still remains even after you delete the triggers and variables?

In short, how do I remove the forced navigation from the projects I have set up as described?

Thank you in advance.

Jim

Hi Jim

go into player > Menu options  (cog wheel bottom right corner) and see if it is set to Restricted - in this mode the user  must wait until the timeline ends before they can click next. Set it to free and it should work fine. Also check your slide timelines and reduce  them to shortest time possible for viewing onscreen activity.
