Image moving when Previewed or Published to Review 360

Oct 28, 2021

Hello! I have created a graded drag and drop question with an image that requires precise placement of labels. When I am editing it looks fine. When I Preview or Publish to Review 360 the image is moved to the left and therefore my labels are not correct. Any ideas? My next slide is almost identical to this one and does not have the same problem. NOTE: the image in my attached slides is a dissected human brain stem for a neuroscience lab. Just a warning in case anyone is sensitive to those types of images. Thanks!

Hello Amanda!

Thanks for providing screenshots! It definitely looks like the image is shifting in Preview and Publish. Have you tried exporting the image and reimporting the image on the slide?

If that doesn't do the trick, I'd like our Support Engineers to step in. You can reach their team by submitting a support case. If you can provide the .story file, that would be helpful too!

This is happening to me too!! I have not had this issue before. It is maddening.

You will see the original in build and then the shift in Preview when I try and place them for the drop and drag.

Also, I set a state change on both the black and red pictures and only one changed.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Michel

Hi, Michel!

Good news! I found a solution to your issues! First, to fix the shifting images follow these steps:

  1. Click on a hotspot
  2. Click "Question Tools - Design" Menu (top center of screen)
  3. Click "Drag & Drop Options" (top left of screen)
  4. Change "Drop Target Options" from "Snap to center" to "Free"
  5. Click OK

Second, the selected state on the red clip doesn't have the blue glow.

Hope this works out for you! Thanks for reaching out!
