Image Quality is bad in Flash Version of Slides

Aug 11, 2017

Hi Everyone,

I have published a course using Storyline 360 with publish settings as 'Flash Only'. When I view the course in my iPad, the image quality seems to be deteriorated.

I thought a flash output is supposed to be much sharper than html5 output. But in this case the flash version is having bad image quality.

I am sharing a sample file, and a screenshot taken from the iPad. We use the Puffin Web Browser to view the lessons. The lesson is uploaded to Moodle.

Please explain why this is happening. Did anyone else find this behavior ?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Sujeev!  Thanks for reaching out and for the detailed description.

Your mobile devices don't inherently support Flash output.  When viewing your course on a mobile device, it will need to play the HTML5 output.

You're in luck, though, because we have made some really great improvements to our powerful new HTML5 responsive player for mobile devices in 360.  Try publishing with HTML5 first or HTML5 only and view your course on a mobile device.

The supported browsers for each type of output are listed here:

Give HTML5 a shot, and let me know what you think!
