I am trying to insert an image into Storyline - either by directly copy pasting it from PPT or using the Insert > Picture option in Storyline. But when I try to resize it, it loses clarity on preview or when published. In the story view, it looks fine. Any idea how I can restore original clarity. The images am using are in .png and not larger than 500 px.
I can see that your images are very big. When you insert and resize them, they become blurred. It is better that you resize them outside of storyline in a tool like Photoshop and use them.
You'll want to look at inserting it at the size that you need it display. If you rescale it within Storyline that may cause it to be a bit differently scaled in preview/publish. You can read a bit more here about the best practices to keep high quality images.
It sounds like it's this specific image? If so, I'm not sure that there is much we could do beyond the other items mentioned in the article on best practices.

Hi Ashley,
Ya i tried inserting the exact size image, and it is less blurry, but it is still not as clear as the original.
Thanks a lot though.
Thanks Sheena. Yes I had tried that also, but for this one image nothing seemed to work. I tried it with another image, and it looks fine :)
Hi Nandita,
You could crop parts of that big image that you don't need and then use it. It's just a suggestion.
