Please keep in mind that importing from PowerPoint is not a one-to-one conversion.
If you're importing a PowerPoint file that includes Articulate Presenter resources (such as audio), be sure that the PPTA file is located in the same folder as the PowerPoint file. Otherwise, Storyline will be able to import only the PowerPoint slides but not the corresponding Articulate Presenter resources. (Articulate Presenter does not need to be installed to import PowerPoint / Presenter content.)
Also, individual slide audio will be imported, butplaylists will not as they are not supported within Storyline. I realize you're working with narration audio, but I wanted to mention this just in case you have a playlist in your presentation.
After you import to Storyline, you'll be able to make changes to the audio file, as you would with recorded or inserted audio files in a Storyline project. For more information, I'd recommend this tutorial.
Please let us know if you have any trouble with this, or any questions.
HELP! I don't have Presenter so I cannot get a PPTA file to be available.
I only have SL2 and PowerPoint! How can I get the PowerPoint slies that have embedded audio and video imported into SL2 without having to buy Presenter too?
Hi Mark! Are you getting an error when attempting to do so following these directions? You would need the ppta file if you were utilizing Presenter functionality as that is where the elements are stored.
I used to have Presenter on a previous computer, but the new one only has SL2. How do I import PPT projects that have audio and video directly into SL2 without haveing to go through Presenter?

Thanks, Christine, that was most helpful! I advised the author to create audio for individual slides, and that worked great.
Again, thanks so much!
You are so welcome, Barbara! I'm very happy to hear that did the trick :)
Thank you for taking the time to let me know that it worked out.
I hope you have a great day - and best of luck on this and future projects!
Christine
