I'm having an issue importing a video into a new course I'm building. It's an MP4 video running about 28.2 MB in size. Everytime I try to import it under Insert > Video > Video From File, I get the dialog box to flash for less than a second and nothing happens.
Any ideas about what's causing the issue? Do I need to downsize my video file?
Did you confirm if it's a local project file and a local MP4? What about file names and paths as detailed here?
Also, is it just this one .story file or one .mp4? Or all of the ones you've tried to use. I'm happy to give it a try as well if you want to upload the file here.
I went into another course and tried these videos and a few others and the others worked... so I think we've isolated the issue are the files themselves.
I'm trying to figure out what it is that's causing issues, because as far as I can tell the files are formatted fine and are on my local HDD.
I'll have to check with my video team to ensure it's okay to share the video to troubleshoot. I'll reply back with the video file if I'm able.
Storyline supports a range of bit rates and codecs, but typically when using an MP4 it'll be encoded with the h.264 codec. Are you sure yours is the 265?

Video team says H.265 might be the culprit. Does Storyline support that encoding standard?

Sorry it took me so long to respond -- yes, we are. Our video team re-deployed the video at h.264 and it worked like a charm.
No apologies necessary grant - just glad to hear things are back to working!
