Importing a Powerpoint to Rise (via Storyline)

Jul 02, 2018

I am trying to import a powerpoint to storyline and am able to do so but some interactive features are missing.  How can I get the powerpoint to keep all functionality (in terms of animations and quizzes) I just want it to be shown in my Rise course shell. If you know of another way other than Storyline, I am good with that. I have attached the original ppt and the link to the storyline import:

So you can look at the difference

Hello!

Well, apparently, the interactions are working. They are just taking a very long time to show up. How can I remove the time scale so that it will come on when clicked or is my only option just to have it all showing at once until I go to the next slide.

Here is the powerpoint to show the way it is supposed to be. Thank you.

Hi Bridgette!

Thanks for sharing your PowerPoint file with me. I first previewed the slides in PowerPoint, then I imported them into Storyline and previewed there.

I noticed that many of the slide objects are triggered to appear "on click" in PowerPoint, and that seems to have affected the timing of those objects in the Storyline timeline.

Storyline doesn't have an "on click" animation like PowerPoint does, but you can adjust the timing of the objects to appear automatically.

First, I would select all of the objects in the timeline by pressing Control + A on your keyboard. Then, right-click the selection and choose Align to Playhead. This will align all slide objects to 0 seconds.

Then, you can adjust the timing of individual objects from there, if you'd like.

Give it a try, and let me know if you need any help along the way!
