I'm on a new project. Just started using Storyline 2. The company has two zip files that they call templates for the styling. How do I import them? Do I import the zip file? Do I unzip them and import a particular file inside?
Hi, Claire -- Thanks for reaching out with your question and welcome to the community! May I ask if you have had a chance to take a look at this information yet on Working with Templates?
Thanks for the head's up, Wendy, as I hadn't come across that one yet! And sharing a link to the thread as you have is pretty much what we do the 'link' them for anyone else following along, so you nailed it! :)
These instructions are directing me to open a downloaded template and copy specific slides. That is not the case here. It is a zipped file with multiple folders, with multiple layers, and all the files seem to be .xml files.

Just like that Wendy! Claire, typically templates come as the .storytemplate file type - so perhaps this wasn't created as a Storyline template or theme? You won't be able to import Powerpoint templates directly into Storyline, but if you have a Powerpoint set up with those slides you could import that into Storyline. Here are some things to know before importing from Powerpoint.
by the looks of what Claire has (see screenshot on linked post) its a series of .xml files of player styles, etc but I'm not sure if they have been exported from a SL file to start with.
Right, hard to tell from that alone - but it did make me think further, as I often only see the .xml file when using a player template (I had assumed it was a general slide template). So I did want to share the information here for Claire on how to work with the player templates and colors.

Hi Christie
Claire also has this thread going on the same topic - not sure what you do to 'link' the threads
