Importing from PowerPoint- error

Nov 12, 2014

Hi everyone

We are trying to upload a ppt file into Storyline 1, but keep getting an error message.
Please see the attached JPEG for the message.

Anyone know what to do about this?

Thanks! :)

Hello Victoria!

Please make sure you are working locally as described here with the Storyline file as well as the Powerpoint file.

You can look at some of the information listed here about Powerpoint errors. It is a different error, but it could help :)

Also, if the issue persists, you may want to repair Storyline, and also Powerpoint.

You can always upload your file here if you would like us to try and import it for you.

Dear support, our team is having issues with uploading of a ppt file into storyline.  We have not seen the following error message before.  See attached.  I don't think it is a storyline repair issues and we have uploaded other ppt files fine.

Can someone please assist and let us know why this might be?  Thank you!

Tiffany

Dear Emily,

Do you have a number to call to reach support? I have the attached slides I am trying to upload. I have been able to import other ppt files into storyline and have not had this error message. I have also reinstalled my storyline and upgrade 2 and still I have this issue. Do you see anything with a character issue in the attached ppt. These are standard files we upload and have not had this error message with other slides.

Can I call for some phone support?

Hello Tiffany!
Welcome to Heroes! Please check the link here to see if the information about importing Powerpoint could help. Are you working locally with both Storyline and Powerpoint? You could also share the PPT file here to see if we can upload it for you.
