Importing from Presenter into Storyline

Jan 28, 2013

Hi!

I just imported a Persenter project into Storyline.

Now the quiz is not where it is suposed to be. It is a seperate object?

Can I:

1. prevent this from happening?

2. how can I instert it on the right place.

Further, the notes in Presenter are no longer in the Storyline project. How come? And more important how can I get them in there? (copying them by hand is not an option guyes ;-p

Thanks for helping!

Hi Bart!

First, you may want to check out the article on Things to Consider When Importing from PowerPoint to Storyline

Also, is it a Quizmaker quiz that isn't importing? If you have access to the Quizmaker quiz file, you can import the quiz into Storyline by itself. Here's a tutorial that explains how to do so.

The notes should show up when you import PowerPoint slides. You may want to take a look at this tutorial, just to be sure you're taking the correct steps when importing.

I know that's a lot of links. Hopefully this information will make this a little easier for you.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Hi there Amy!

Correct, audio should import from your PowerPoint slides when importing.

Please make sure you're importing from and to local project files:

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.

Can you also confirm that the audio works properly in a published version of the PowerPoint/Presenter project, please?

Thanks Amy!
