Importing from SL2 into SL1
Jan 07, 2015
I recently built a module in SL1 for a client. While I was away, a colleague made some edits to the module using a trial version of SL2, not realising the implications and neglecting to save a copy first.
The client needs to maintain the module in-house, but they have SL1.
I realise that I can't open a SL2 file in SL1, so have tried to import the module's slides into SL1 instead, in order to produce a version of the module the client can work with. I get the attached error message when I try, and I'm not sure whether this is specific to me, or if I'm trying to do something that is actually impossible.

Is the module still open in SL2? It's probably at least going to be modified a little if it's possible to go backwards. If it's still open in SL2, that could cause that error.
Hi James,
No SL2 files open at the time I attempted and got the error.
There should have been a backup SL1 copy on coversion to SL2
Thanks Wendy. There is a back up, but the final edits were significant and are not captured in the backup. I'll go to the backup file and edit it if there is no other way, but first hoped to find a way of getting the most up-to-date version across to SL1.
Hi Kimberley,
I may be misunderstanding, but any changes you made in a copy within SL2 can't be copied, imported, etc. into SL1 as it's not backwards compatible.
