Importing Power Points and making them screen reader accessible

Feb 04, 2016

Hello. I am experimenting with importing PPTs into SL2--I have a pretty big conversion effort coming up involving A LOT of slides. One thing I noticed is that when I test an imported slide with JAWS (the screen reader) it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it related to the PPT not being screen reader accessible? Are there any work arounds? Thanks!

Hi, Finn -- Thanks so much for your question and sorry to hear of your difficulties! As you will read here in this article on Section 508 Accessibility and Articulate Studio '13,  Studio '13 supports JAWS 15 and later with Internet Explorer 11 and later (Flash output only).

Please ensure that you are following these steps for Importing from PowerPoint into SL2, and if you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on the latest update can be found here

Please let us know if issues persist, and we'll see what more we can do to assist. :)
