Importing PowerPoint but Losing Audio Files

Hi there,
Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so have you identified a cause? :
Occasionally (and certainly more often than I would like) when I import a PowerPoint presentation with audio (.PPTX) the presentation appears in Storyline (still using version 1) without the audio files. This is usually followed by a very long and irritating process of individually uploading audio files extracted from the original PowerPoint (and fingers crossed that the track number and the slide number match up).
I've never been able to identify a constant factor that will result in this issue (though usually it involves a deadline and a large number of slides).
Thanks,
Brian

Hi, Brian - Please check out this information for when audio is lost or missing. Please let us know if that helps. :)
Hi Christie, thanks for the suggestion. I really thought you were onto something there (I know that Network drives and the often extremely long route paths they generate can be a problem) but I've just tried with a locally saved file and experienced the same result.
(Just in case it wasn't obvious from my first post this is for Articulate Storyline and not Presenter)
Hi, Brian - Apologies for any confusion. You might want to check out this page on Tips for Importing Microsoft PowerPoint and Articulate Presenter Content. And also to rule out some common issues, please try the following: you may want to import the file into a new file, and if you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Otherwise, you are welcome to submit a support case for further exploration of this issue.
Thanks again Christie. I've tried everything else so I've now submitted a support case. I'll report back to the discussion board if something useful comes up. :)
Cheers,
Brian
