Does anyone know if there is a way to import PowerPoint slides into Storyline so that the formatting of the PowerPoint slides take on the formatting of the Storyline project? In PowerPoint, for example, you can copy and paste slides from one project to the other and the pasted slides automattically are formatted like the new project (i.e. they use the slide master of the new project).

No, the slide masters are imported along with the slides.
You could change the masters after the slides are imported.
