Importing slide to another file FAIL!

Hi,

I am creating slides of varies lengths to be embedded into an LMS page. Since they are embedded on the page, I do not have to be constrained by length. So, I've built them in a template file, extending beyond the slide length and then measuring the length once it's done. Then I create a new project of the proper dimensions and want to import or copy and paste that one slide into the new project. Whatever method I choose, the resulting slide is all wrong. There is no text in the checkboxes or radio buttons. The spacing on layers is incorrect. 

I've even tried saving the original project with a different name and then deleting all the content I don't need in the resulting file and then changing the size. It still doesn't work.

I've attached the file. I'm working with slide 3.1.

Any suggestions?
