Even after following the user guide for this, I cannot seem to import the .srt files as a group into my storyline presentation. I have ensured that they are titled the same as the audio and that they are in the same file as the PowerPoint and .ppta files. What could I be doing wrong?
Let's investigate where the culprit is! Have you imported the .srt files into PowerPoint first and then Storyline 360? If so, can you try importing the files into Storyline 360?
I absolutely CAN and HAVE added the .srt files into storyline 360...but
only one at a time. I didn't know there was an option to add in PowerPoint
- that would make sense that I could then import both the audio and the
closed captioning in when I insert the PowerPoint into a new project. I
know PowerPoint isn't your product, but can you tell me how to do this?
The closed caption .srt files are specific to each video which is why you can't import them as a group. I wouldn't recommend importing them into PowerPoint first if you're going to publish in Storyline 360.
We do have a current feature request logged for importing and exporting multiple closed caption files. Although I don't have a timeline to share, I'm going to add your comments to the report so you're notified in this discussion when we have a release update!
