I have a png object on the Stage. I want it to be the ‘Normal’ state. I want to import a second png to be the ‘Over’ state. Is there a way to accomplish this or must additional states be created in Storyline?
This is if you want to create various button states in an external application, such as Adobe Illustrator, that allows more versitlity and precision than what can be done within SL. (I'm accustomed to using the term "Over," rather than "Hover" for when the pointer is touching the button without pressing the mouse.)
I also should add to the above description that you will need to aline the additonal button states you add.
Click the object that needs aligned.
Click the tiny arrow in the lower right of the Size Panel.
Click the "Position" Tab.
Enter the Horizontal and Vertical values from the correctly aligned object.

OK. I figured it out:
John,
Not sure what you mean - do you mean "Over" or "Hover".
Just go to edit states, add whatever you want for your state, and then Save.
The state can be anything you want and it's all done from within SL.
Not sure I understand the problem - sorry.

Whoops! The alignment value, mentioned above, should always be 0, 0.
