Inaccurate Quiz Results Reporting

Jan 18, 2013

I continue to experience issues with the reporting after the quiz has been taken.  When trying to pull the report to track who has completed the required quizes sometimes certain names are not on there when I know they passed as I have a screen shot of the results.  Most of the time the reports are correct but there is a small percentage that don't appear and it makes it hard to track progress with these issues.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Could it have anything to do with what browser they are using?  Is one recommended over another, I know that we have had a few issues with Chrome and better luck with IE.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Good morning Troy!

Well, it's a matter of preference really. There's no way to really limit what people use and everyone has their favorite, or simply a browser they're comfortable with. A lot of users started on the web with a browser and really don't even know that there are others available. However, you could always include a "browser suggestion" at the beginning of your course. If you don't want to implement that directly into a course, it depends on how you distribute the course. If you send them an email invitation you could certainly state that they will need to view the content in a specific browser. You could even provide a download link. Again, though, this comes down to your preference, too.

For example, if you're seeing extremely good results in Google Chrome (a personal favorite of mine, because it functions so well), you could state that this is the preferred browser for the course. Users don't really need an explanation - but if you state "for best results" and they use a different browser, they'll know in advance that there may be issues using others. Nobody wants to do poorly on a course, so they'll probably make the effort to make sure they're using the best browser for the course.

Just thinking out loud here, hopefully some of this information will get you started

Hope you have a great day, Troy!
