I'm a new user to Storyline 360 and I am trying to create a quiz, with feedback layers and a results slide. I can get the quiz to work if I answer everything correctly, but it does not work if the answers are not correct.
I have different types of questions, true/false, multiple choice, multiple response, and a freeform drag and drop but none of these are giving feedback when incorrect or allowing me to move on.
I have attached a copy of the quiz scene, so hopefully someone can tell me where I am going wrong.
You have set the attempts to Unlimited. Set a threshold for attempts for each question and use a try again layer. Once the attempts threshold is reached, the incorrect layer should display and then the learner can advance to the next question. I set each question to 2 attempts and added a Try Again layer on question 1 so you can see how it works.
I also noticed that some of your hover states jump a little, I fixed slide 7 so it doesn't jump the text. Edit the states of the text boxes that jump so that they are the same size as the Normal state.
I am trying to get this quiz to work so that the user gets the feedback after their first attempt but than moves forward to the next slide. When they get to the results screen, they are then sent back to the incorrect questions only (which reset to their initial state) to try again. That's why I hadn't included a try again slide. Is this possible?
Also, thanks for the pick-up on the jumping text. I'll fix that up too.
I've made a few changes to your project to make sure the user can move to the next question after clicking Continue on either the Incorrect or Correct feedback layers. First, I added two attempts so the user isn't stuck answering a question until they answer correctly. Next, I made sure to use the trigger Jump to Next Slide when the User Clicks "Continue" on the Layer. Lastly, I changed the triggers on 1.11 to jump to the Results Slide before ending up at the Summary slide.
I've attached the updated file to this discussion. Let me know if you have any questions!
I changed the number of attempts = 1 for each question. Your questions were set to "Reset to initial state" when revisited. So when you retake the quiz questions there is some odd behavior. Change them to "Automatically Decide"
The updated file is attached.
Lauren,
Was you file created with a development version of Storyline, I cannot open and am getting a error about Expanded Quiz Tracking and Track Multiple Completion Criteria. The Articulate 360 Feature Roadmap shows this is still in development.
I have ended up not using a results slide and having try-again on each question with instructional feedback in order to get the quiz working, as I needed to get this project finished. The SME was happy with the final package, but this is definitely something I need to work on in my building skills. Thanks for all your advice, and I will incorporate it all into my future projects. Kind regards Deb

Hi Garth,
Thank you for helping with this.

Hi Deb!
I see that Garth has stepped in! Thanks Garth!

Thanks for catching that Garth! It looks like I didn't switch to the previous version before testing this file. I appreciate you sharing your file.
Sorry for the confusion!
Thanks Lauren and Garth for all your help.
