Incorrect score reporting to LMS (Cornerstone)

Apr 12, 2017

We are near the end of live legally required compliance training - I really need your help!

I have searched the discussions and found none with resolution or enough detail to assist me.

We have a test that randomly pulls 30 questions from five question banks. The passing score required is 90%. We are publishing as SCORM 2004 and passed/incomplete.

  • We have users claiming they did not finish the test - but it reports a passing score.
  • We have users claiming they finished the test and failed - but it reports a passing score.
  • We have users claiming they finished the test and passed - but it marked them as failed.

We have completed rigorous testing in SCORM Cloud and within the LMS. We were never able to replicate the issue.

Our LMS released a new reporting tool that allows us to look at the individual answers for each question - based on this new report when we look at those claiming they failed (but hte system passed them) it appears they are correct. They did not answer enough questions to get a passing score of 90% (21 questions out of 30 should be 70%)...

We are reaching out to our LMS Support - but anything you could do to help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there Carrie!

Thanks for letting us know you already tested your file in SCORM Cloud--you're one step ahead of me. :) I know it can be a real challenge when your users are reporting an issue that you're not able to reproduce. Since you mentioned you're using Cornerstone, I wanted to point you to this forum thread specifically for CSOD users. You may be able to find some helpful information there, or even reach out to folks for advice directly through their ELH Profile pages. :)
