Independent Layer timelines

Hi there.

I have a slide with multiple layers and click triggers that show them.

I am noticing that if I have elements on the layers that happen further on the Layer's timeline, say after 4 seconds, are showing immediately when the layer becomes active. My guess is that the actual timeline is taken from the base layer.

Is there a way around this?
