Input box - Default

Mar 12, 2019

Hello -

I have a bunch of numeric input boxes. By default they display as 0 (zero). I want the field to be blank. So they can just enter a value. With the zero displayed they have to highlight it and delete it before entering. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once I get that figured out -- scenario: 4 input boxes on the screen with text next to them. The 4 items are rated 1-4, but you can only use each number once (per slide). So if you rate one a 4, that leaves 3, 2, & 1. I thought about using a dropdown menu, but I need to keep the number value to use later, and wasn't sure if you could do that with a dropdown menu. Does this make sense? Thanks again!

Hi Tracy,

A quick update to let you know we've released a fix for this issue where Numeric-entry fields displayed default values of zero after renaming their underlying variables. They should remain blank until learners enter values. You'll find that fix available in the latest update Storyline 360, build 3.28.18944.0

To install the update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline - you'll find more details here.
