Input box scrollers appearing in output when no text has been entered...

Feb 21, 2018

Hi everyone, I'm having a bit of a rub here with Storyline. I'm trying to create a master slide with layouts, but the text entry boxes are all showing up with a scroller when I preview/publish. As soon as I enter text, it disappears. I notice the bottom of the text is cut off (see the y). On the feedback layouts - I was able to fix it by just creating new boxes. This is not the case on the masters or with just adding a box on the base layer.

Is anyone else experiencing this? and if so, how did you fix it?

Thanks!

Hi DeWayne,

I can't say I've seen this happen before, so I'm really glad you reached out to us about it! What version of Storyline are you using?

Would you be willing to share a sample slide with me? I'd like to get a better idea of how you constructed it.

You can click here and attach the file to a new thread comment. Look for the Add Attachment button. Thanks!

Hi DeWayne,

Thanks for sharing your .story file. Our team has seen a similar situation when you've created a course with a text entry field, and it'll generate a tiny scrollbar after upgrading a Storyline 2 project to Storyline 360 Update 12 or later. That scroll bar will also only be visible in the HTML5 output. Our team is still looking into this, but we'll let you know as soon as we can about a fix.

Hi there, DeWayne!

We fixed the issue you reported where a tiny scroll bar would appear on the text entry field in the HTML5 output. Specifically, this happened with Storyline 2 projects that were upgraded to Storyline 360.

Here's how you can update Storyline 360 to see all the latest features and fixes. If this problem resurfaces, please record a Peek 360 screencast for me, and I'll be happy to help!
