I am sorry you are experiencing issues importing media from a file! Let me ask you a few questions to try to narrow down the problem:
What type of file are you importing? Here are the supported types of media in Storyline 360: audio, video, and pictures.
Are you receiving an error when you try to import a video/audio/picture from a file? If so, would you mind attaching a screenshot of the error message?
Are those options not available to you? Keep in mind that there are two ways to import media in Storyline. The ones on the right will give you the option to import from a file.
Lastly, are you able to import media from the Content Library?
