Insert shapes funny behavior

I try to draw a new shape. Now matter where I start, or how large I draw, when I release mouse button, the shape is placed at the spot I end, the same size as if I had clicked without trying to drag and draw.

Setting somewhere?

Reinstall?

Ideas?

Hello Stacia,

That does sound like odd behavior. Can you confirm that you are working locally as described here? And here are some steps to try and repair Storyline.

Thanks for the quick response. It turns out that the behavior in question is "not a bug, it's a feature." It only happens when Snap to Grid is turned off. Snap to Other Objects seems to have no effect on it.
