Insert Text Box = Software Crash
Aug 05, 2012
Hi, I am trying to build a business case for my manager to seriously consider purchasing Articulate Storyline.
Problem is despite running a 64-bit win 7 highly spec'd dev machine, Storyline just keeps crashing everytime I go to insert a text box. It appears memory seems to be running low, storyline puts a great big red cross across the slide and then prompts me to save and close the application.
Is this a known issue or am I facing a reinstall?

Sorry for the trouble, Nicolette. If the steps in this article don't help get things running smoothly, I'd definitely encourage you to submit a support case so we can take a closer look at what's going on. Thanks!
Hi Peter,
I'm having a similar issue as Nicolette, except I am running Storyline on Parallels 9 on a Macbook Pro. I am also just on the trial. I've disabled sharing, and allotted 2 CPUs and 2GB to my virtual machine. Were you able to find an easy fix for this case, or should I also submit a support case?
What's happening on my machine is that I will insert a textbox.
Then I when I release my mouse, this appears. The program will freeze for a while. Then the text box disappears when the program unfreezes itself. I've tried inserting characters, captions, and shapes. This only happens when I insert text boxes...
Liz
Forgot to add: If I use Ctrl-T to insert the text box, I get the same message as Nicolette "It appears memory seems to be running low", and a red cross on my slide.
