Inserting a video into a slide layer

Jul 10, 2019

I have recorded a screen recording with audio that I would like to add to a layer so that when the user clicks on a button, the video will play.  How do you do this?  I have read several other threads and have not found a solution to this issue.

It's the same as video on a base layer.  Bring up the layer onscreen, then INSERT VIDEO.  You can click on the video options and make sure it's set to play the way you want.

Then on your base layer, add a button to show that layer.  It should bring up the layer and start the video.

Be sure the user has a way to make the video go away and return to the base layer, or next slide, whatever is the goal at the end.

One tip, many browsers will pause a video if a user clicks on it while it is playing.  To keep that from happening, put a HOTSPOT over the top of your video.  Then right-click the hotspot and turn off the "hand" cursor.   Now the video can't be stopped accidentally that way.
