Does Storyline allow you to insert a doc, pdf etc on a slide that you can print, save, email etc.? The software pkg I had prior to Storyline allowed you to insert...can't seem to find the ability in Storyline.Seems simple enough, just can't fine it. (Am new to StoryLine
You can add documents to the resource tab that can then be opened and printed. You can leave these as hyperlinks or load the document onto the rescource tab.
on the menu bar select player,
then select the paper clip resource icon at the top.
Ok thanks Rachel. Just to confirm, the ONLY place you can attach is on the Resource tab... I am surprised you can't attach on a specific slide. Thanks again.
You can also add documents to a slide by creating a link using the Insert Hyperlink command
The link doesn't work in preview - you need to publish for it to work.
This example shows a PDF being linked to. During publication an external_files folder is created and the linked document is placed there. Upon opening, Learners should be able to download and/or print.
This looks a little old but I'm going to ask this anyway. I placed a pdf in the resource tab. When it is clicked on the tab opens. You click on the pdf and it opens. Now it doesn't close easy. The learner has to play games in the browser to close the pdf and get back to the presentation. What am I missing here?

Hi Eric,
What types of games are they having to play? It should just open in a new tab/window depending on your browser settings.
Are you seeing the tab still open or that the PDF site doesn't close?
