Hi there, Jane. Really sorry you're seeing that notice! You're spot-on in that .mp4 files are natively supported in Storyline – I'm happy to dig in!
Would you be willing to share the troublesome .mp4 file here? Simply pop it into this discussion by using the Add Attachment link in your reply. I'd like to try to replicate this behavior.

Also, what version of Storyline are you using?
Thank you for your email. I did re-save the mp4 file and it worked correctly when I inserted the file in the Storyline 360.
That's great news, Jane! Thanks for keeping us in the loop; we'll be here if you need anything else 🌟
Hello...I am having the same problem. Did you resave the file as an .mp4? Or did you have to change the file type?
Hey, Laura. Happy to help!
Are you getting this error message with multiple .mp4 files or a particular one?
If with a specific .mp4 file, like in Jane's case, a simple re-save might help. Here's a quick Peek on how!
If that doesn't do the trick, could you share a troublesome video file here? I'll try to insert it in Storyline and let you know what I find!
