Inserting Photos

Jul 06, 2016

I have been trying to insert a photo into one of my slides, I have tried a '.png' and '.jpeg' and both times I got an error saying the photo could not be uploaded because it was not in a format supported by articulate. Anyone else have this issue? Is it a problem with the new update?

Hi, Kate -- Thanks so much for reaching out and sorry to hear of your troubles! As you can see if you check out this article on Adding Pictures, both .jpeg and .png are supported formats. May I ask if you can confirm that you are working locally as described here? I am working on the latest update and was able to insert a .png image on a slide a moment ago without incident. If issues persist, you may also want to consider running through these troubleshooting steps to see if you find improvement. Please let us know if that helps or if you are still having difficulties!

I did a bit more searching after posting this question and found someone
who was having a similar problem. They opened a brand new articulate
project, inserted the photo into it (successfully), and then cut and pasted
into the project they had been working in. I tried this and it worked.
Oddly enough, I tried to insert a couple other photos into the original
project that had given me trouble earlier with no problem. Can't really
explain why I had this issue, I tried several different photos and changed
the file names to remove all special characters.
