Inserting Rise File as a Web Object in Storyline

Apr 18, 2019

Hi,

I am trying to follow the steps to insert a web object but there is nothing there - the first image is a shot from a tutorial to show what should happen; the second is from my PC. Please help!

Hi Karl! When you export your Rise 360 content for web, you'll get a zipped output folder. Extract the contents, and you'll see another folder level: content.

That folder contains the index.html file that Storyline 360 will need to display the web object. This tutorial goes into depth about adding web objects in Storyline 360.

When you browse for the folder to add in Storyline 360, double-click the content folder, and then choose Select Folder. You won't be able to preview your Rise 360 web object, so you can quickly test the functionality by publishing to Review 360.

Let me know how you make out!

Hey Karl,

So close! Thanks for the images so I could understand what you were running into.

In the documentation that Crystal shared above:

Navigate to the folder that contains your web content and click OK. (There must be a file called index.htm or index.html in the folder you select, and all supporting files for the web content to function must be in the same folder.)

So, you want to add the content folder and the index.html file will be the link included:

Let me know if that works for you :)
