Inserting video - seek bar not working accurately

Feb 18, 2016

Hi Storyline team, I am creating a video based learning module.

When I insert a video from file and use the seek bar, I've noticed that the seek bar functionality in Storyline doesn't match up with the video. If I move the seek bar during the published view, the video timeline and seek bar timeline gets misaligned. What happens is, the slide ends up getting cut off, and the slide advances too soon.  The video and seek bar stay synced if I do not touch the seek bar.

Can anyone suggest how to ensure the video and seek bar stay lined up?

Just an update for those following the thread. After every publish last week failing to work correctly, I have now published 3 times in a row and all work correctly.... The only difference is that I changed the seekbars to read-only and published a few times then changed it back and republished again. Now it's working. I don't know if that toggle made the difference or if it was something else ...

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

Hello there, Ben!

We had an issue in Storyline 360, where learners couldn't click or drag the built-in video's seekbar. The good news is that we released a hotfix for it on build 3.37.21614.0.

Are you seeing this behavior on the latest update or another version of Storyline? I'm happy to troubleshoot your file to see what's going on!
