I have just recently started using Adobe Edge Animate to create interactions for my eLearning course. I have no problems exporting my project to html 5, and when I insert into Storyline as a web object, it previews perfectly. The issue I am running into is when I publish my project, it simply shows up as a white slide.
Hm, that is strange. I tried this sample file here on my iPad (in both the browser and mobile player app) and the Edge animation shows up. I wonder what's different in your setup.
I can also view the above file - a couple things regarding the file I'm working on:
-I can view a website when inserted as a web object (only when published as CD) - however when I select the local index.html file I created with Edge it shows the white slide.
-it will play perfectly when i click on "preview" within the slide
-it will play in firefox if I open up the index.html file on it's own.
so, I know the animation will work, I'm starting to think it's an issue caused from pulling it from my hard drive instead of online?
Since you are trying to play the Edge content locally, maybe there is an issue with the Flash Player security settings. Try adding your content folder as a Trusted Location in your Flash player.
Hi Ryan! Sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time. I’m not sure how you are testing your content to encounter the variance in behavior, but you want to make sure that you are testing in the intended learning environment. There is an article here about publishing and sharing your Storyline content. If you are having problems with this file alone, then you may want to try importing into a new project. Of course, if you have tried all of the troubleshooting, then you can send us your file to look into.
Importing into a new project didn't resolve the issue, however using tempshare, I was able to view the web object without any issues. Knowing that it will work once we end up hosting on our webpage has resolved the issue and I will now use tempshare to ensure that the layout of the web object is correct.
Adobe Edge Animate has undergone a number of updates in the past 12 month- perhaps use the latest version of EA I think in 2014 cc version 4 and see if that resolves the issues?

I've found that if I check off the "include html5 output" and then run the "story_html5" file it will play, albeit extremely slow.
I've tried adding the content as a trusted location - still no luck.
seems odd. in the output file I can navigate to "web objects" and see the html file, when I double click on it, it shows up in my browser.
Well, maybe one of the awesome Articulate support folks can chime in here?
