Is it possible to run both Storyline 1 and Storyline 2 on the same computer? I have some clients who are not quite ready to make the switch. If not on the same computer, could it be loaded on an external drive in some manner...?
^ You just have to open the version first, then open the file from within the application. Double clicking on a file name to open it will not work well.
The files will always try to open by default in the latest version (Storyline 2) so if you're needing to open in Storyline 1, then yes you'll want to open the program first and search for the file in there. I also tend to right click on a file and choose "Open with program" and choose Storyline 1.

You can install and run both version of storyline on one machine.

Hi Ashley,
Since I want to use both SL1 and SL2, do I purchase an upgrade, or do I need to purchase a new license?
Thanks :)
