First, let me say that I am very new to this, and I am not a techie.
I want to set my USB camcorder as the default for sound - I was able to find a place where I could choose the default (it was in the options tab). The drop-down showed my device but would not let me choose it. It was not greyed out.
So, I fiddled with it for a while, and when I went to find the place to set the default sound, I could not find it again.

I was able to find my way to the place where I can choose a default device, but it will not let me change the device to my external recorder. Anyone?
