I am trying to add an HTML video file created using TechSmith Camtasia Studio video editing software that incorporates some closed captioning and quiz/quiz tracking features. When I try to add as a Web Object the file is not visible in the folder. I apparently need an index.html file but that is not generated when I publish using Camtasia. I am stuck at this point and looking for any solutions/workarounds to help me incorporate my Camtasia files into Storyline 3. Thanks!
Do you have a place to host your file? Once uploaded, you should be able to use that url as your web object and have the functionality you're looking for.
Admittedly, my Camtasia experience is next to zero, so I did a quick search through some other ELH discussions and saw most folks were incorporating an MP4 from Camtasia into Storyline. It sounds like you're attempting to use the HTML file generated, so it would help to know more about what files you do see when publishing Camtasia?
That'll help me or others in the ELH community point you in the right direction!
Leslie, I am working on getting a server to host the videos. There are some release concerns for the project I'm working on that are causing some issues with that at the moment.
Ashley, the "File Image.JPC" attached is a screen shot of all the files that are generated when I publish in Camtasia. If I could get the MP4 to play the closed captioning that would also solve my problem but I am having no luck with that either.
So I was just able to export the closed captioning file from Camtasia and then import it into Storyline. This looks like it might work for now but I'd still like to find a potential work around for the HTML file to get all of the other features. Thanks again for the support!
I'm glad the Closed captioning file from Camtasia worked out, Sean!
I am guessing the ...Axis.html and the ...Axis_player.html files are both needed to launch the HTML output correctly? I've only seen folks link locally to the HTML file and create a Web object when it's a single file, such as a PDF on an internal server. So sadly, I'm not much more help with the Camtasia setup!
I'll follow along to see what others in the community recommend!
Thank you for the feedback! I am currently working on finding a way to host the files as that seems to be the only real solution for what I ultimately want to accomplish.

Thank you both for the responses!

Hi Sean, you might want to check out Amazon S3 or GitHub for hosting the html files if you don't have your own domain to upload files to:
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/dev/WebsiteHosting.html
https://pages.github.com/
We also do a lot of our hosting on Amazon S3, and we often recommend that as an option for hosting Articulate content too!
