Integrating templates in video slides

Hello everyone,
I'd like to know if you can help me out on the integration of templates in video slides.
By default, if I record a video and create a new set of slides (i.e. in the case of a step-by-step), I need to select all the slides that were created, right-click on these and uncheck the "Hide background graphics" box in Format Background so my template will show behind the video.
I also have a slide title placeholder in my template. If my step-by-step consists of ten slides, I have to copy my title in all ten slides so it will be displayed through all the steps.
In the end, it works, but it's far from being optimal. Anyone can tell me if I'm doing it wrong and what are the best practices?

Hi Anthony,
When inserting a screen recording as a step by step it's actually added as a part of your background - so it is likely covering other elements from your slide master. So it sounds like copying and pasting into the slides, and therefore appear in front of the screen recording may be the best method.
