Interaction/presenting suggestion for this content?

Nov 05, 2013

Hi all,

I want to present a concept with 11 related explanations and associated concepts to introduce on one slide. I am struggling with how to present the concept to make the learning of this concept interactive and yet meaningful.

I don't really like plain text because it can't show the relations between the concept and the explanations.

I thought about concept map, but since all 11 explanations need to be on one slide, spaces can be crowded.

Any suggestions in terms of interactivity or ways to present the concept?

Thanks in advance.

Cheng

You could create layers for the explanations and associated concepts and build a accordion-style navigation with vertical 'tabs', like the example below. I 'stole' this from an Engage interaction, but with a bit of work you could create something similar in SL. Depending on the available screen real estate, horizontal tabs may work better.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about the accordion. It is a good idea for organizing the concept, but it does not really show the connection between the 11 explanations.

Still, thank you for the suggestion! I think I might eventually stick with accordion if I couldn't find an "ideal" solution.

If you could share a little more about what exactly these concepts are, some other, more visual ideas might 'pop up'

I really wish I could, but the information is confidential. Otherwise, I would have posted

Thank you though, Michael. I think I would go with accordion. Really appreciate your help!
