I'm planning to create an interactive infographic similar to this one. Will that be possible using Storyline 2?. I'm sure I can create most of it with Storyline. However, I'm afraid that I won't be able to find a way to do the moving screen effect. So, my question is: is that possible and which features will help me add this kind of effect?
have you had a look through the elearning challenges there might be something there to help you and here are a couple of previous posts, and here - also try searching the forum for 'infographics' 'motion paths' etc.
It looks like Wendy's got you hooked up with some great resources for creating interactive infographics. As I was looking at the example link you shared, the scrolling effect looked similar to one shared by another community member in this thread. Although not an example of an interactive infographic, it does share some similarities. Jordan's free .story download is also in that thread so you can do some reverse engineering of his project to get ideas for building your own.
That's a great demo to deconstruct. A few quick ideas to help you get started:
The click arrow would trigger some motion path interactions in SL. The question is how big do the scene images need to be? The ones in his demo are continuous. I'd probably break them into layers in SL to make it easier to manage.
I'd simplify the timeline info and make that a slider. You can change the states of the slider to correspond to the timeline.
