Interactive Orientation Materials with Surface/Win8 theme
Mar 07, 2014
Hi E-Learning Community! I'd finally like to give back a little as I use these forums constantly!
I've been working on some different ideas for orientation and remote employees. I wanted to stick with an interactive "tablet" theme, but since we are a Microsoft partner, spin it with a Surface/Windows 8 look instead of an iPad. It's a work in progress, but I'd be interested in any feedback and happy to share the .story file if anyone is interested in the template.
Ideally I'd like to use our internal SharePoint site/Office 365 to distribute, but I'm having a lot of trouble with the web objects and links when publishing to web. It works without fail when publishing to Articulate Online, so here you go - the produced output: http://klu.knowledgeflash.com/4243874064

Hi Kristin,
Great example and thanks for sharing here!
First I was a little sad the music didn't continue after picking my avatar - but that's probably just me.
I like how you've got things set up, and my other suggestion would be for the layers (I assume it's a layer?) like for parking where there are two elements I can initially click on have an option to toggle between them once clicked or return to that view instead of going back the start menu and having to start over.
Thanks Ashley! That's a great suggestion that I did think about, but forgot to put on my checklist to complete. Thanks for reminding me!
Very nice, just a thought and I have no idea if it would work but could potentially be a workaround to the sharepoint/365 issues, could you try hosting it elsewhere and iframing it into sharepoint?
Hey there! I'd love to see your demo but the link has expired. Would you mind reposting?
Hi Lindsey and welcome to Heroes!
You may want to send Kristin a private message as I'm not certain she's still subscribed to this thread to see your recent reply.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with!
Hi Lindsey! I'm happy to share it again. Unfortunately, I don't have the source files on my personal laptop and I'm home today, but I'll share the .story file in this thread by Friday when I get back to the office. I'm also happy to talk via direct message. If you need to see it sooner, let me know and I'll try to VPN in today.
