When you choose to insert a screen recording that you conducted in Storyline you'll want to choose to insert it as Step by Step and then choose "Test" mode. That is detailed further here.
Thanks for the help guys, but I must be doing something wrong. I record the screen to make a video. Then when I insert it in Try Mode and preview the scene, it goes through the steps automatically. What am I doing wrong?
You may want to look at how the triggers and slide properties are set up to advance the slides. You'll want to set up the triggers based on the user clicking the next button or similar. Within the slide properties themselves you'll see that there is an option for the slide to advance by user or automatically:
Also, Try mode and Test mode will behave a bit differently as described in the previously linked article.
