I am finding the project I have created in Storyline, when run from Articulate Online, seems to lose objects, or audio, intermittently. It has happened to many users, running IE, Chrome, on different machines. Reloading the course and all works fine. It is very frustrating to the users obviously but I have no idea what could be wrong. Has anyone else had issues like this? Is there something I should be looking in to? I looked through the forums and couldn't find anything so I am hoping there is something obvious I can do to fix it.
Have you tried uploading the course again, possibly with a new name so a new URL is provided for the course? I'm just curious if the same thing happens or not. It may be a caching issue if the course has been viewed multiple times from the same browser and user, or if the course was updated/overwritten and the browser cache wasn't cleared.
Do you have this issue with any other courses that are hosted on Articulate Online, or is it just this specific course? If it's a single course, are you able to share a link, so I can take a look and do some browser testing?
Thanks Christine. I did open a support ticket and shared the link and story file there.
I changed most of the screens to reset to initial state rather than use the default option of letting Storyline decide and that seems to have lessened the occurrence. As there was a variety of people reviewing the course, and it would occur at a range of places, it is hard to nail down exactly what is going on.
One thing is that it is going through versions and I am uploading them to the same name so overwriting the older version, may have something to do with it. I have had a couple of people who viewed the course for the very first time and they have had issues.
This is my first foray into Storyline, I have never had this issue with Presenter on Articulate Online. I do like the level of interactivity you are able to create with Storyline but I do miss some of the basic animations that were in powerpoint like, wipe and motion paths. I am hoping they might be something on the drawing board
If I can get some more specifics around what is going on (or not going on) I will post.
Thanks for the information. I've also found the support case (#00317211 for my reference) and I see that Miker is working with you. I'll follow along with the progress and try to share any additional suggestions or solutions we're able to find for this.
