Intermittently not working

Ok, so this might be a LMS issue, but thought I'd start here because they say it isn't theirs. I have a course that includes a simulation of making a pizza. I use variables to set what should be the toppings and amounts they need to put on the pizza. However, occasionally when we have employees take the course, it seems like the variables aren't working properly. They all get initialized when the slide starts, but it doesn't seem like it "takes". I even created a layer that I can activate to reset the variables, and it still doesn't work. Anyone else having issues like this?

I'd want to see it to test further - but if you're also thinking it's an LMS issue you can test your content at SCORM Cloud, which is an industry standard testing method for SCORM content. If the behavior isn't reproducible there you'll want to share the results with your LMS team. If you can reproduce it there - can you share the Storyline file with us?
Here's the part that's strange to me. I included a "fast forward" feature. We'll have an employee take the course, and when it gets to the simulation, it won't work properly. They'll close the window, restart the course, and use the fast forward feature to skip to the simulation, and it will work just fine. Same computer, same browser, just without having to go through the instructional part.
I haven't tried on SCORM Cloud, because I haven't been able to replicate the issue on my end through our LMS.
