I have a particular course that seems to have major issues with IE. When accessing the course for the second time, you just get the loading symbol. To get it to work, you have to clear all internet history and cache EVERY time.
Can you share a little more information on this, please?
What version of Internet Explorer seems to have this issue, or does this happen with multiple versions?
Where is the course being hosted? Is it in an LMS, web server, etc.?
Are you able to share a link to the course, so I can take a look? I'm running IE 10 on my machine and I'd be happy to test it out and see if I have the same problem on my end.
First, gotta say - love the Blue Phoenix character :)
I tested this in Internet Explorer 10 and I experienced the same issue. At first, I thought it might be an HTML5 problem, but it looks like you're publishing for Flash, not HTML5.
Can you tell me what version of Storyline you're using when you publish, please? To find this information, click on "Help" and "About Articulate Storyline".
If you're not running version 3 (1305.2012), please download and install the update using the link below:
Once you've finished installing the update, please republish, upload and test your course. Note - you may want to make sure you clear your cache first, before testing the new version of the project.
If you are using the most recent version of Storyline, or you update and it doesn't fix the issue, can you try testing your course outside of the LMS? If you'd like you can try testing in SCORM Cloud or Tempshare. This will help us figure out if this is something specific to the way Internet Explorer is handling the course when visited again, or if Internet Explorer is having trouble communicating with the files on the LMS when revisiting/caching the course.
If you don't see any difference when testing outside of the LMS, it might be a good idea to go ahead and pass this information on to our support team:
Please be sure to include a description of your issue. Please also include the URL for this thread in the form. Also, please share the case number with me. You're welcome to do so here, or in a private message. This way I can follow the progress of the case and update this thread.
Hopefully we'll be able to get this working correctly for you.
Hey Nick! Sorry you are having such a tough time. I would advise that you go ahead and submit a case so that support can begin troubleshooting with you on this. Especially since your course worked as expected in your SCORM Cloud testing. Thanks so much Nick and have a great day
I have submitted a case and speaking to Omniplex in the UK. Hoping someone can get to the bottom of it. I adore Storyline, but Articulate Online is doing my head in!
Hi Nick! Thanks for the update. I see your case (#00345418 for my reference) and that you are working with Sid. I'm going to follow along as well. Hope you have a great day!
It seems I have got to the bottom of this Leslie. By comparing my courses that work to the ones that dont, I have identified the problem to be when the Resume option in Player Options is set to Never Resume. I have changed this setting to prompt to resume.
This is ok for now and solves my immediate issue, but not ideal as I wanted these modules to reset every time they were visited. There seems to be an issue with this setting and publishing to AO.

Hi Christine

Thanks
Nick

Hi Christine
Checked and I am using up to date version of Storyline. Posted it to SCORM cloud - https://cloud.scorm.com/sc/InvitationConfirmEmail?publicInvitationId=ad9e5990-f4a8-46c8-911a-240fbad07417
Works fine for me in Explorer and in Firefox. So it seems the issue is AO?
What now? This is causing me major problems.
Thanks.
FYI - just replicated this issue on IE, just hangs on second load.
Bruce
Thanks Bruce. Now getting same problem in Firefox too!!!
Strangely, it works fine on ipad every single time from AO

Thanks for the update Nick!
Be sure to update your support case and Sid as the two of you run through all of your testing.
Hope you have a great day!
I see where your issue has now been sent to QA Nick. Thanks for following up with your subsequent issues, that will help the team. Have a great day!
