Inventory Exercise using Variables
Aug 05, 2019
Morning
I am developing a slide as part of a presentation that asks learners to select 10 items to add to an inventory. The idea is once they select 10 items this triggers an award for getting them correct. However I am finding that said items can be selected multiple times and they are being awarded a badge and haven't acquired all 10 items. Each click being counted as 1. Is there a way I can have the item be selected once to stop multiple clicks adding to the total?
I am using a number variable that adds a value of 1 each time an item is selected. The total is 10 and this then shows the award layer.
Any pearls of wisdom would be great.
Thanks
Frazer

Hi Frazer
change the state of the selected items to disabled
Yeah I have used hot spots as the items are part of a picture. Can't change states of those :(
ah ya didn't mention that
Can you use transparent shapes (fill 100% transparent) instead of the hotspots - they can have a state
Sorry no I didnt :( I'll give your idea a try though. As you said they have states :)
Works perfectly Wendy thank you so much :)
Have a great day.
Glad that worked Frazer - all the best with your project :-)
