Invisible Drop Targets; Drag-and-Drop

Sep 22, 2016

Is there any way to force the drop targets to stay visible? I have multiple drag items, and it is confusing for the learner if the label for the drop target is not visible.

Hi Jazzmine,

I'd agree with Wendy it's difficult to say without seeing your .story file which you can upload here by visiting the forum discussion and using the "add attachment" button to share it. If the title is to appear directly on the target, you could look at making the drag items disappear or allow them to be transparent and therefore you could see what's behind them?

Oooh. Great idea, Ashley. That sounds like a lot of work, but it would have the effect I'm looking for.

Wendy, thank you for your reply too-- your suggestion is actually what my "I give up" work around was. Part of the problem was that I had so many objects that I wanted the learners to share, that it didn't seem like it would be possible to have an extra label.

I can't share the actual project I'm working on since it contains confidential info. But I can recreate the idea of it.

Sorry-- I had created it and never uploaded it. Is there a best-practice for uploading files on here to show others? Everyone else seems to be able to post it online. I see the option to publish as "Articulate Online", but it requires some kind of account URL...

Hi Jazzmine,

No worries - if you're able to just share the .story file then folks can take a look at what you created and set up.

Others look at publishing for web and then hosting it on your own web server, that way it's a bit of self promotion and portfolio building too. We also have an option to link the course to your ELH profile as described here but it has to be hosted outside of Articulate.
