iPad/iPhone video/audio issues

Apr 03, 2020

Hi all...

We have built a company wide handwashing video which was launched to everyone. They access it via laptop/iPad/iPhone. It was built using Articulate 360 (all updates have been completed) and has two YouTube videos included in it. When users play via iPad, the voiceover and animations work fine, but the videos won't play automatically or at all.

How can I fix this asap as the training has been launched?

Many thanks!

Hi Stephania,

Why are videos not autoplaying?

I see that Gil provided a great tip here that addresses the autoplay issue (Thank you, Gil). While Google has made some changes not to allow videos to autoplay, this mainly affects the course if the video is on the first slide. We also added support for Google's new autoplay policy, where learners will see a play button when they launch or resume a course with a video on the first slide.

How can YouTube videos be added?

There are two ways to add YouTube videos to Articulate Storyline 360 courses. You can embed them as website videos or web objects. Do you happen to recall how the content was added? If not, that is okay! The easiest method is to use the insert video from the website method and grab the share embed code from the YouTube video.
