Stop me if you've heard this one: iPad will dim and shut down by default. If a Storyline course has a long playing segment in Safari without user interaction, the iPad will dim and shut down. Maybe not a big deal as a learner can always touch the screen to wake it up.
Is there an API call that could be made to ensure the iPad wouldn't time out or is this not possible for content playing inside Safari?

Try adding this to a JS trigger or to your document head.
var wakeUp = setInterval(function () {
location.href = location.href;
window.setTimeout(window.stop, 0);
}, 25000);
Thanks for popping in to assist Sam here Steve :) I could see where that could help many.
My own feeling is if a learner sees the screen dimming, they should be able to touch it to brighten it up.
This should prevent the iPad from shutting off.
