iPad Scaling - Make it Stop!!!
Jun 25, 2013
Greetings!
Has anyone experienced the following problem and discovered a solution? My course is small on purpose (736x480). When played on an iPad, it plays as shown in (A) below. Everything is scaled up 140% to fill the screen. Nice, but..., this course is small because it has to fit within LMS menus. What we need is (B) below. Unfortunately, what we get in the LMS is (C) - the 140% scaling never goes away pushing part of the slide and controls out of view. If I ran the course by itself, it would look like (D) below without scaling, but that appears to be impossible on the iPad.
My status:
- It has to play on the iPad (customer req)
- We cannot require the Articulate app
- It has to play in the LMS smaller frame (no choice)
- We've tried every publication option - they affect Windows browsers, but never the iPad output.
- I tried inserting DIVs, it overflows
- I tried wrapping in an <iframe>, it overflows
- I tried removing the 140% scaling via CSS overrides, it scales visually back to 100% size (great!) but the clickable areas remain at 140% (not great at all)
Any solutions? This is a full stall for us at the moment. Thank you!

Hi Carlos! Browser size is not currently a feature that is supported in our HTML5 output as you can read about in this article. So, I cannot offer support, but I can point you to other community threads where others found various resolutions (here, here , here, here, and here) that may work for you.
