iPad Users - Would You Mind Helping Out?

Sep 24, 2013

Hi Everyone. I have recently had a bunch of FLV videos with an alpha channel produced. These were working fine using Articulate Mobile Player until last week's update (Version 1.0.0.0 September 2013).

I am using the mobile player on an iPad 3 running iOS6, and the video element of these videos now do not function correctly - the play extremely slowly and the audio is completely out of synch. However, my colleague, using an iPad 2 running iOS7 is having no problems whatsoever.

I have submitted a support case, but to help Articulate get to the bottom of it, would those with an iPad be so kind to follow the link below.

There are four videos here (on four different slides - use the arrow pointing right to jump to the next slide. The first video has been set up to play automatically, the second video you need to click to start playing (this is written on the slide).

Could you let me know:

  • If the videos played as expected (audio and visuals in synch, automatically started or had to be clicked to start playing) using the LATEST version of the Articulate Mobile Player.
  • If  there was a difference in behaviour between streaming the videos, or downloading them directly to your iPad (the file is available to download)
  • What iPad you are using (1, 2, 3, 4 or mini) and iOS version you'rerunning.

Thank you so much in advance for the help!

James
